On the right is a rear-admiral in starboard-bow view with pendant at the main and a private ship on her starboard quarter. In port-bow view on the left is a vice-admiral of the same squadron. There are many ships in the distance.
The drawing is approximately dated by the watermark. The signature seems to be genuine but may have been added circa 1700.
