Sketch of H.M.S. Leander Nov 6th 1849 (annotated)

This annotated pencil drawing overlaid with pen depicts the ‘Leander’ (1848), which was built at Portsmouth Dockyard in 1848. She is shown from the port stern quarter, with a small detail of her bow upper left and a vague outline of what appears to be her stern in the background, right. The annotation records that she is shown with white hammock boards and all her spars except the cross jack.
