Bruges
View of Bruges, showing the market place and the Belfry tower. The Belfry is a 83-metres high mediaeval tower; first added to the square circa 1240, it was rebuilt in 1280 after a fire. The octagonal upper stage of the Belfry was added between 1482 to 1486. It housed the former city treasury and the municipal archives.
