Court of Lions, Alhambra

This untitled print shows people in Spanish dress in the 'court of the Lions' in the Alhambra, Grenada. At the centre of the courtyard is a large fountain supported by twelve marble lions.

The Alhambra was the residence of the Muslim rulers of Granada and their court. It is one of the finest examples of Moorish art and architecture.
