A black and white landscape photograph of nine Buddhist statues at Hualin Temple in Guangzhou. Eight stone statues of single seated figures can be seen arranged in a line, facing to the right of the image. Another statue, showing an adult with children climbing on them, can be seen on the end of this row nearest the camera and at a right angle to the others. All the statues are on a stone plinth, the corner of which can be seen in the foreground. Two wooden pillars supporting the roof are also visible behind the statues. Original caption (handwritten in ink beneath): 'Temple of 500 Genni/ Canton'.
