Coat of Arms from HMS Britannia
Royal arms from the wardroom of HMS 'Britannia' 1820. A wooden shield carved with the post 1837 Royal arms painted in red, gold and blue. A naval crown above painted gold on a blue wooden cushion. A paper label on the back reads: 'Coat of Arms and Admiralty crown from the wardroom of HMS Britannia (the cradle of the Royal Navy)'. HMS 'Britannia' 1st rate, 120 guns was built at Plymouth A training ship from 1859, she was broken up at devonport in 1869.
