Distinguishing pendants used to address a specific ship in the fleet at Trafalgar, 1805, by Edward William Cook and engraved by William John Cooke. Two images on one sheet.; Dimensions of second image, height 105mm: width 173mm.

A print of the chart which showed the signals used by Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Most recently at the National Maritime Museum, a diagram demonstrating the tactics Nelson planned to employ in his next battle were found in a letter from Nelson to his elder brother, William. This was a very exciting find, as only a few sketches by Nelson of his earlier battles have survived but each was drawn after the event.
