The Right Honble. Samuel Lord Hood Rear Admiral of the Blue &c &c &c

An oval bust-length portrait of Samuel Hood (1724–1816) in rear-admiral’s undress uniform, 1767–83, and a wig. Lettered beneath the image with the title and the publication line, ‘The Right Honble. Samuel Lord Hood, Rear Admiral of the Blue &c. &c. &c.’ This print was published by John Keyse Sherwin on 10 May 1783. This impression has been cut down, removing the publication line; for a complete impression, see PAD3256. (Updated May 2019.)
