Intrepid
Nameboard from the 'Intrepid'. Nothing is recorded of a wreck of this name on the Isles of Scilly but it is possible that this item came from a Sunderland brig which was wrecked off Pendeen, north of Land’s End, in 1847. It may have become detached and drifted over to the islands, or Augustus Smith of Tresco Abbey could have acquired it for his ‘Valhalla’ collection while on the mainland.
