Ship decoration?
A small carved, white-painted rectangular plaque bearing a plant combining a rose, thistle, shamrock and another bud which may also be a rose though looking a little like a tulip. It could have been a decorative panel on a vessel but may more likely be a carver’s sample or the work of an apprentice. The rose, thistle and shamrock are respectively symbols of England, Scotland and Ireland.
