Official boat badge of HMS Concord
The boat badge of HMS 'Concord' 1916. An official pattern approved in August 1920. On a green field, two clasped human hands, one in armour.The badge is pentagonal with a gold rope twist border representing an cruiser. It is made of cast brass, painted and drilled at the corners. 'CONCORD' is inscribed on the reverse. HMS 'Concord' was a C-class cruiser, built by Vickers Ltd and launched in 1916. She was attached to the 5th light cruiser flotilla for the remainder of the war. In 1932 she transported the coffin of the exiled king Manuel II of Portugal to Lisbon in 1932. She was scrapped at Rosyth in 1935.
