Terrestrial globe gores
Terrestrial globe gores. They form a set with Replogle Globes Inc GLB0267. Geographical details on the gores display artistically rendered cartographic features, in order to show the relief in plane. An extensive geological nomenclature indicates mountain chains, ridges, plains, plateaux, banks and fracture zones. Only the 'NORTH POLE' and the 'SOUTH POLE' on the two polar calottes are indicated. For full details about the cartography and construction of these gores please refer to the related publication, Globes at Greenwich.
