Plate
A white earthenware dinner plate, printed on the rim with the house flag of Moss Hutchinson & Co. (a red pennant with a white Maltese cross between the initials 'MH'). The plate has a painted thick dark red line around the rim with a thinner line outside it. The maker's mark is printed on the base. Moss Hutchinson, part of the P&O Group, was a cargo liner company serving the Near East.
