Danish medal belonging to Sir John Ross. Obverse: Bust of Christian IV (facing) . Legend: 'CHRISTIAN DEN FIERDE'. Reverse: Neptune and Mercury laying wreaths on an altar with a crowned 'C4'; a eye within a pyramid surrounded by rays above. Legend: 'HAN STOD SOM HELT VED HOIEN MAST', ' AF HAVETS SKIÖD MIN BORG HAN REISTE'. Exergue: 'TG SECLER SVANDT_END STAAER KONG CHRISTIANS BÖRS 1824'. Possibly a masonic medal.
