Oak box made from H.M.S. 'Shannon'
Oak box made from timber from 'HMS Shannon' 1806. The lid is hinged on one side, the base is covered in red leather. 'Shannon', famous for her capture of USS 'Chesapeake' during the War of 1812 was broken up in 1859.
