National Flag of USA (1912-1959)

USA national flag, 1912-59 pattern, used as a table flag. It is made of synthetic fabric, machine sewn with the design printed onto the fabric. A yellow fringe is attached to the edge and the flag is mounted on a stick which has been broken at some time in the past.

This flag is one of the flags placed on tables at launching dinners for cargo vessels built for the British Ministry of War Transport by the Todd-Bath Iron Shipbuilding Corporation, Maine in 1942. The flag was donated with other material relating to the launch of 'Ocean Strength' 1942.
