Union flag, (after 1801)

Union jack table flag. It is made of synthetic fabric, machine sewn with the design printed onto the fabric. A yellow fringe is attached to the edge and the flag is mounted on a stick. One of the flags placed on tables at launching dinners for cargo vessels built for the British Ministry of War Transport by the Todd-Bath Iron Shipbuilding Corporation, Maine in 1942. The flag was donated with other material relating to the launch of 'Ocean Strength' 1942.
