Prize medal, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science

Awarded to Sir Harold Spencer Jones. Dull and bright work. Obverse: On a lotus flower a circular inscription: "INDIAN ASSOCIATION FOR THE CULTIVATION OF SCIENCE", and within it two concentric arcs bearing an inscription in Hindi. In the centre a column surmounted by rays bearing on its plinth "FOUNDED BY MAHENDRA LAL SIRCAR-1875". Reverse: A foliage wreath knotted at the base. Inscription: "JOY KISSEN MOOKERJEE MEDAL AWARDED TO SIR HAROLD SPENCER JONES F.R.S. 1953". In fitted case of issue.
