Awarded to Joachim Heinrich Christoph Satow (1794-1850), Pilot Commander of the Port of Riga. Obverse: Head of Carl Johan XIV (right) with draped robe at neck. Legend: 'CAROLVS XIV IOH.REX SVECIAE ET NORVEGIAE'. Below: 'L.G.' Reverse inscription: 'ILLIS QUORUM MERUERE LABORES' (to those whose labours have deserved it). Bound in a volume of letters of commendation.
