        Awarded to Rear Admiral Sherard Osborn  (1822-1875). Badge: Silver star of five rays with double points with a small silver ball on each point, enamelled white, the arms connected with a green enamelled laurel and oak wreath surmounted by an Imperial Crown. Obverse: Head of Napoleon (right) surrounded by a blue circle inscribed: 'NAPOLEON EMPEREUR DES FRANCAIS'. Reverse: Imperial eagle. Legend: 'HONNEUR ET PATRIE'. Suspended from a scarlet watered silk ribbon.
