Awarded to Adm Sir Montagu Stopford. Badge: Silver star of five rays with double points with a small silver ball on each point, enamelled white, the arms connected with a green enamelled laurel and oak wreath surmounted by an Imperial Crown. Obverse: Head of Napoleon (R) surrounded by a blue circle inscribed: "NAPOLEON EMPEREUR DES FRANCAIS". Reverse: Imperial eagle. Legend:"HONNEUR ET PATRIE". Suspended from a scarlet watered silk ribbon.
