The green canvas bag used to carry the diaries of Captain R. F. Scott, RN.

A machine-sewn, green canvas bag belonging to Captain Robert Falcon Scott. It is closed with a flap and two cord ties. Cherry Garrard 'The Worst Journey in the World' p.497: 'Beneath the head of his bag and the floor-cloth, was the green wallet in which he carried his diary.'
