Ration Bags

'Eight linen summit ration bags, two painted on each side in violet: 'S Tea', one: 'TEA' and one: 'S/Onion Powder', four are unmarked. A label inscribed 'JT/860' is attached to one of the drawstrings witha typed labe which reads:l 'BAGS IN WHICH FOOD WAS CARRIED BY CAPT. SCOTT'S POLAR PARTY'. They were used by Captain R. F. Scott's Southern Party and recovered in 1913.
