Turban shell

Green turban shell (turbo marmoratus) engraved with a port broadside view of a paddle steamer, inscribed below 'The Great Eastern Stm Ship Launched 31st Jany 1858', and above 'From James Elder to my Beloved Wife Elisa'. On the reverse 'A soft answer turneth away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger'.
