Bathythermograph Slides

Wooden box, painted grey on the outside, lined with green baize, with four rows of slots for holding slides. The wooden box contains 89 glass bathythermograph slides, Patt A1042.

The smoked glass slides in a bathythermograph were used to obtain a record of temperature as a function of depth. Slides were used with bathythermographs NAV1769, NAV1965, NAV1964 and/or NAV1968.
