A bathythermograph slide is a smoked glass slide used in a bathythermograph to obtain a record of temperature as a function of depth.

This object is a grey painted wooden box with slots for 200 bathythermograph glass slides. White felt lining. Containing 200 smoked glass slides. Stamped in white: Patt. A.1042 (last fig in ms).
