Advertising bill ('Abolition of Colonial Slavery... Meeting')

Letterpress poster advertising a meeting for the Abolition of Colonial Slavery. The meeting was to be held in Wakefield (Yorkshire) on November 4, 1830. The poster provides a list of Wakefield’s leading abolitionists. Rallies held in support of the abolition campaign frequently attracted very large crowds and were social gatherings as well as political meetings. Published by Hurst.
