Fragment of textile, probably some form of barkcloth. On paper 'Articles found buried with a body of an Inca of Peru, exhumed by the earthquake of 1868 Collected on the spot by F D Sibbald Scott Bart RN from Arica, known to have been buried more than 300 years'. Sir Francis David Sibbald Scott, 4th Baronet (1851-1906). Promoted Lieutenant 1874, retired 1889.
