A distant starboard side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the cargo liner Onitsha (1952) under way in Northfleet Hope, River Thames, bound out for Duala. A heavy hawser is trailing in the water from her starboard bow and she has a large boat athwartships on number 2 hatch. On the right and seen from ahead of her starboard beam is the tug Kenia (1927). At moorings in the left foreground is the tug Blue Circle (1927), seen from just ahead of her starboard beam, and astern of her is the lighterage tug Medusa (1953), both owned by the Associated Portland Cement Co. In the distance on the left is the tug Challenge (1931).
