The general cargo coaster Estebrügge (1958) and the motor barge Arctic (1897) in the Greenland Dock, Surrey Docks, London
A port bow view, taken from fine off the bow, of the general cargo coaster Estebrügge (1958) alongside 11 Berth (9 Shed) in Greenland Dock, Surrey Docks, London. She is discharging deals into the motor barge Arctic (1897) which is berthed outboard and is also seen from off the port bow. The barge's boat is slung from her derrick and swung outboard. The top of the coaster's foremast is out of the picture and her hull is in the process of being painted. A crewman is standing on the fluke of her port anchor looking at the camera instead of chipping and scraping the paint on her hull. Another crewman, wearing only swimming trunks, socks and plimsolls, is standing on the quayside holding a large can of paint.
