A slightly distant starboard bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the general cargo ship Rjev (1944) alongside a berth in the Surrey Docks, London. She has two rope ladders deployed over the side and lighters are berthed outboard of her. Berthed in the distance and seen from off the starboard bow is the general cargo ship Nicola Vaptzarov (1949). She has both of her anchors in the water. There are stacks of timber on the quay on the right.
