Brown leather spine with gold lines, marbled boards (7 x 10 ins), button closure (missing). 49 ff. of sketches in Naples area, mostly pencil, some pen and watercolour, from CS tour in Italy 1838-39 with T. G. Fonnereau. Includes inscriptions by Stanfield and possibly other hands. From the studio collection of Clarkson Stanfield RA, acquired 9.04 (Bagshawe Collection). [PvdM 5.06]
