Bronze muzzleloading smoothbore 24-pdr mortar on wood bed. Calibre: 5 5/8in.
Marks: crown GR XL J-J-23. Mortars were carried in bomb vessels and fired explosive shells. The gunfounder Francis Kinman was in business at Shoe Lane, London from 1799–1825.
