Obverse: Scipio, his left arm upraised, standing on the prow of an antique galley, two priests sacrificing behind him, bidding farewell to two Romans on the shore, vessels in the distance. Exergue: 'SCIPION PASSE EN AFRIQUE. A. R. 542'. Reverse: Scipio armed (left) interviewing Hannibal, armed, in the presence of two civilians; cavalry on either side in the background. Exergue: 'ENTREVUE DE SCIPION ET D'ANNIBAL. A. R. 550'.
