Aiguillette shoulder strap, Royal Naval uniform: pattern 1953
        
        Aiguillette shoulder strap belonging to Adm-Fleet Terence Thornton Lewin (1920-1999). To be worn with aiguillettes. Plaited gold wire basket cord with blue wool backing. Mounted with a flag officer's gilt metal button and the Royal cypher 'E II R' on the terminal knot. A hook and brass fastening on the reverse.
