Medal commemorating the International Maritime Exhibition, Havre, 1868. Obverse: Heads of the Emperor Napoleon III, laureate, and the Prince Imperial conjoined (left). Legend: 'S.A. LE PRINCE IMPÉRIAL NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR'. Reverse: A coat of arms, dolphins as supporters, surmounted by a naval crown; above, the head of France in glory; the whole resting on an inscribed tablet with sprays of oak and laurel below. Legend: 'EXPOSITION . MARITIME . INTERNATIONALE . DU . HAVRE'. Inscribed on either side: (left) 'FRANCE ETATS UNIS PRUSSE SUÈDE NORWÈGE HANSES RUSSIE ORIENT OCEANIE'; (right) 'ANGLETERRE AUTRICHE DANEMARK ESPAGNE PORTUGAL ITALIE PAYS-BAS SUISSE AMÉRIQUE'.
