The Duke of Clarence appointed Lord High Admiral, 1827. Obverse: Head of the Duke of Clarence (right) Legend: 'H.R.H.WILLIAM HENRY DUKE OF CLARENCE LORD HIGH ADMIRAL OF GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND'. Below: 'GEOR : IV : REX : MDCCCXXVII'. Reverse: Britannia, armed, a trident in her right, a shield in her left hand, walking on the sea; two battleships under sail in the distance. Legend: 'HER MARCH IS O'ER THE MOUNTAIN WAVE HER HOME IS ON THE DEEP'.
