Photograph album 395mm x 316mm x 15mm. Screw binding. Dark brown boards (imitation leather). Front gold-blocked "THE LUXURY LINERS MANHATTAN & WASHINGTON".
14 black and white photographs - 340mm x 270mm or 13 1/2" x 10 1/2" - glued on linen and produced by Byron Co. No dates mentioned anywhere.
They show interiors of the ships without any people. Even the swimmimg pool is empty of water.
Traces of life have been put here and there: an open bottle of beer, glasses of wine, open books, flowers...
On the picture 14 it is possible to read two titles of books: "The Standard Book of British and American Verse - Preface by Christopher Morley" and "Twilight of Royalty - Grand Duke Alexander of Russia".
The captions - written on negatives - are easy to read.
