BRITANNIARUM REX . FID . D.' (George III, by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith.) Below: 'NAT : IV . JUN . MDCCXXXVIII' (Born 4 June 1738). Reverse: Victory, treading on clouds, holds aloft the Royal crown with her right hand, the other holding a wreath. Legend: 'HUJUS SUB AUSPICIIS FLORESCENT QUOTIDIE MAGIS' (Under his [the King's] auspices they will prosper daily more and more). Below: '. MDCCCV .'
