Obverse: Bust of the discoverer Christopher Columbus (1451-1506) with short hair, wearing a fur-lined cloak and cross (left). Legend: 'EN CONMEMORACION DEL 4 . CENTENARIO DEL DESCUBRIMIENTO DE AMERICA . 1892.' (In commemoration of the fourth centenary of the discovery of America.) Inner: 'CRISTOBAL COLON.' Reverse: Inscription and leaf spray forming a circle within a garland of oak and laurel entwined with ribbon. Inscription: 'HONOR Y GLORIA 12 OCTUBRE 1492.' (Honour and glory) (centre) (12 October 1494).
