Reverse: Female figure (Germany) her head supporting an eagle, hair and drapery flying, left arm outstretched, right poising a trident for striking, standing in the bows of a boat inscribed 'GERMANIA'; an eagle perched on the gunwale. Legend: 'IMKAMPF UM DIE FREIHEIT DER MEERE 1914-1916' (The struggle for the freedom of the seas 1914-16).
