Medal commemorating the defence of Callao, 1819. Obverse: A ship blowing up (left), three others at anchor (right), two small vessels in the foreground. Legend: 'PREMIO A LA FIDELIDAD Y AL VALOR.' (Reward of faithfulness and valour.) Reverse: Inscription, within an oak wreath: 'DEFENSA DEL CALLAO EN MARZO Y OCTUBRE DE 1819.' (Defence of Callo in March and October 1819.) Fitted with a scolled loop and ring.
