Ship model
A ship model in a bottle. The model depicts a three-masted barque with four buildings and a lighthouse in the background. The model would be inserted into the bottle with the masts collapsed and the rigging only partly attached. The sea and shore are made of plaster, the ship is wooden with rigging made from sewing thread. The five palm trees in the shore scene are made from partly shaved wooden pegs painted green.
