Obverse: Bust of Christopher Columbus (1451-1506) in a cap (three-quarter right), crossed sprays of laurel tied with ribbon below. Reverse: legend, 'IV CENTENARIO DEL DESCUBRIMENTO DE AMERICA POR COLON' (The fourth anniversary of the discovery of America by Columbus). Inner legend and inscription: 'EL PUEBLO SN ISIDRO Á SU MEMORIA 12 OCTUBRE 1892' (The town of San Isidro to his memory). Fitted with a loop and a ring.
