Mittens
Pair of woollen mittens used on the Australasian Antarctic Expedition 1911-14. Knitted in grey wool with long ribbed cuffs, the palms lined with brown felted material. The lining secured around the base but not around the top. Paper label 'Jaeger pure wool. Made in Great Britain. Size 9', 'Jaeger for HEALTH COMFORT STYLE (49174)'.
