Reverse: The 'Northumberland' under plain sail and port studding sails. The French eagle hovering over the taffrail. The 'Bellerophon' at anchor to the right. Legend: 'SURRENDERED TO H . B . M . S . BELLEROPHON CAPT. MAITLAND.' Exergue: 'XV . JULY MDCCCXV.' Inscriptions difficult to read.
