Life Saving Society of the Alpes Maritimes
A uniface pierced chevalier's badge in the form of a Maltese cross (gilt); crossing staves bound with rope and a circular blue enamel band with title; in centre a coat of arms, viz. an eagle displayed and crowned; above the whole a castellated crown (silver). Inscriptions: Obverse: 'CHEVALIERS SAUVETEURS DES ALPES MARITIMES'. Reverse: 'LEMAITRE FT. PARIS B.COQUILLERE' (in four lines). Fitted with a ring and pale blue ribbon with white border and red stripes near the edge.
