E-Boats, War Badge

Uniface badge. Within a garland similar to U31 but more elaborate eagle and swastika larger (gilt), port bow view of an E-boat overlapping garland (L) showing cabin structure; a bow wave below overlapping garland (R) (iron). Reverse Inscription: "R.S." Instituted in May 1941 for crews of motor torpedo boats. Prior to Jany 1943 the badge had a silver central device. Fitted with a pin.
