Copley Medal of the Royal Society

Obverse: Coat of arms. Legend: "SOCIETAS REG.LONDINI". Exergue: "NULLUS IN VERBA". Reverse: Goddess seated holding a globe and dividers etc. at her feet. Legend: "G.COPLEY BART. DIGNISSIMO". Exergue: "ROBERTUS SEPPINGS ARM MDCCCXVIII". In fitted box of issue. Contained in a box numbered ZBA8017 with MED1003.

Robert Seppings was awarded the Royal Society's Copley Medal in 1818 for his papers on the construction of ships of war, printed in the Philosophical Transactions.
