Plate
Sunderland creamware plate, transfer-printed in black with a merchant brig under sail. The ensign has a white cross over all. An inscription is printed below: 'Success to the COAL TRADE/Here's May Colliers Flourish, our Trade Increase/And Victory bring us a lasting Peace'. Below the inscription, the hand painted initials 'A.V.D.K.' and 'K.V.S.' The plate has black lines painted around the rim.
